“Sha Doizo”
“Le Friiix Club”, Bordeaux/France
Sha Doizo is a wordless, bare-handed theater show created by the company Le Friiix Club, aimed at toddlers (ages 1 and up). Sha Doizo is a hybrid being—neither cat, nor finger, nor bird—who lives in an imaginary garden. He dreams of flying, but doesn't fit into any category. Everything changes when he encounters a treble clef: thus begins a luminous, tender, and wonder filled quest, perhaps even "reaching the moon." The show is based on the technique of black theater: in a dark atmosphere, a curtain of light reveals the performance space, creating the illusion of autonomous animated objects. The manipulating hands blend into the shadows and become characters. The musical score, conceived as a language, accompanies the character's emotions: joy, fragility, desire, surprise… It blends subtle sounds and delicate atmospheres to create a poetic soundscape. The show lasts approximately 25 minutes. Conceived as a gentle and visual form, Sha Doizo is aimed at a very young family audience—it offers a sensory awakening, a silent narrative to be discovered with the eyes and the heart.
