The diary of Anne Frank, which she began to write when she was only thirteen years old in a hiding place in the attic of an office building in Amsterdam, where her family, together with the friendly family of the Van Danes, hid from the Nazis, are today classic reading for young people and adults. As well as an inspiration for creators who, with Anna's story, remind us again and again of the horrors of the Second World War. Anne Frank's Diary touched the choreographer and actor Sinisa Bukinac with its immediacy, who translated life in hiding, and especially Anne's personal experience of the world, first love and resistance to the assumed authority of adults, into dance steps, while at the same time reminding him again of the senselessness of wars - past and present.
