Young Critics’ Round Table – May 11

Young Critics’ Round Table – May 11

The productions featured at the first three editions of our festival are remembered for the powerful messages of their directors, their poetic imagery, and the strength of their performances. In short—for their ethics and aesthetics, which our audiences, especially young ones, have consistently recognized and appreciated.

From the very beginning, children and young people have played a key role in shaping the identity of the festival. They are, after all, just beginning to form their own theatrical tastes—and their views on life.

With that in mind, the Young Critics’ Round Table was created. Through open discussion with artists—about the choices they made, the characters they portrayed, the use of sign language, animation, and the roles of every element involved in a production—young participants develop critical thinking, dialogue skills, tolerance, and understanding. It is also one of the ways the Youth Theatre continues to nurture and grow a new generation of theatre audiences.

This year’s Round Table will be moderated by Danica Rajković.

The event begins at 3 PM, on the Small Stage.
Admission is free.
