Sonja Petrović, director
 
Director Sonja Petrović graduated in Multimedia Direction from Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, and mastered Theater and Radio Direction at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. She directed plays for children, young people and adults in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia.
She received awards at the Sterija Theatre, the Vojvodina Professional Theatre Festival, the Subotica International Children's Theatre Festival, the Kotor Children's Theatre Festival, Bora's Theatre Days, the Kolyada Plays festival in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and ArtOkraina in St. Petersburg... Her play "Who Killed Janis Joplin?" won more than 40 awards, and she also participated in the prestigious festival of young directors "Fast forward" in Dresden, Germany. Petrović has won awards for directing at a number of festivals, she is also the winner of the annual awards of the Serbian National Theatre and the National Theatre "Toša Jovanović", Zrenjanin. Additionally, she is the director of the Bačka Palanka Festival of Ecological Theatre for Children and Youth, for which she received the October award in 2022. She is one of the founders of the Regional Platform for the Development and Affirmation of Theatre for Children and Youth. The Platform "From early age", fights for a better status and quality of creativity for children and youth. She is a member of the IO network for the development of theatre for children and young people ASSITEJ Serbia. In her work, she mostly deals with the topics of childhood, ecology and human rights.
