Aleksandar Ćurčić graduated from the prestigious National Academy for Theater and Film "Kr. Sarafov" in Sofia, Bulgaria, which has almost eight decades of tradition. His mentor was the renowned professor Atanas Ilkov. Ćurčić's professional journey included working in two Sofia theaters - the "Puppet Theater" and "Atelier 313", where he developed his theater skills and gained valuable experience. He is the co-founder of the Spanish theater "Teatro Plus", which was founded in Bulgaria, and which moved to the Spanish city of Gijon in 2001. Teatro Plus has become famous throughout Spain, Europe and far Asia thanks to its innovative performances.
Aleksandar Ćurčić has a special fondness for puppet theater and always places the audience at the very center of his artistic path.
From the 2023/2024 season, Aleksandar Ćurčić is the acting manager. director of the Novi Sad Youth Theatre.
